I keep reading comments abt the Epstein files and thats lowkey so disgusting cause.. tei literally compares shuraka to how he himself was with his mom… so basically establishes that he sees him as a child and wants to protect him from his brothers. He thinks Shuraka is benevolent like the sun and would be a good king for Arnata which is why he wants him to succeed the throne. Theyre both thrust into a “marriage” and Shuraka seems to not grasp the concept of marriage yet calling a grown man his bride and beloved (probably what other people told him cause well, he’s a child and doesnt comprehend the meaning) and Tei is initially like Obaran (the advisor of Shuraka) but takes the role of Shuraka’s knight instead… literally nothing sexual at all.
Meanwhile Epstein was a pedophile that sought after his victims, raped and assaulted countless children, sold them to the rich and powerful and his co-conspirators are being hidden from the public to this very day … its really disgusting to say stuff like this as if Epstein is some internet meme like even in the context of this story its really out of place

I've reread the chapter and found another reason to be mad when people compare seoin to taegu. In the end of season one when seoin sees the depression med bottles his anger towards yw instantly dies. He realises very quickly that yw in those ten years wasn't doing well and feels sad that he really doesn't know anything. He asks and when yw doesn't want to answer he drops it and takes him to the hospital to get a new prescription. That was such a sweet moment of realization that it wasn't just him who had a hard time apart from yw.
Then you have taegu who sees yw having a mental breakdown and has taken prescription pills with alcohol and instead of taking him to the hospital to get that shit removed cz people actually die from the shit, he shouts at him reprimanding him for his valid feelings then kisses him. A very unsolicited kiss mind you. The kiss was just about his feelings.Lord this shit just pissed me off when I realised it. Like who thinks like that to kiss someone when they're crying about how hard their life is. It's not romantic at all. It's tone deaf. Read the room mf!!!
Taegu likes a dependent yw. A yw that can't stand on his own without him. He hates what seoin's presence in yw's life represents, and that's the ability to change. Seoin was the first person to ever make yw aware that it's okay to feel shit about your situation and want change. No wonder his absence just caused a mental spiral that lasted years. Ironically the memories of seoin also kept yw going.
