Scanlations are amateur translations and can vary in quality/accuracy so official translations might be more reliable to the source material. It’s pretty bad to post official translations on mangago though because it means the manga has been serialized so we’re not only ripping off the author but also all the people who worked on publishing the manga overseas.

You can always tell when they don't check the translations in context, because they always get the pronouns wrong. Just because he's called mom, doesn't mean he uses she/her pronouns
