Personally, I don't think POC diversity in manhwa is too important because of how homogeneous of a country South Korea is, compared to the US, where diversity in media js far more important due to the variety of people and cultures that live here. I think it's due to people liking to explore dynamics outside of the conventional, which is why people look outside of AxO in omegaverse (as it's pretty similar to our societal ideas of wlm being the norm) and the genuine pointlessness of male Alpha x female Omega (it exists, but completely loses the point of why omegaverse exists in the first plac......   reply

Probably something like class differences or opposing factions. Honestly, if you want straight forbidden romance, you've gotta mostly look through the historical genres (especially those closer to history than something like otome isekai historical) since societal norms were much harsher (though it also depends on the region you're looking at) comp......   reply
