I would call it a growth arc instead of redemption arc because MC forces ML to learn and grow, which is great. It focuses more on how ML can move on and avoid his past mistakes while addressing his obsessions. MC “transmigrates” into a book with the typical scum abuse. He’s determined to avoid the storyline and works on gaining ML’s trust. ML still has his dark, possessive urges until the end, but learns how to prioritize MC’s happiness and mostly control them.
