Hey y'all, whoever is reading this, I have a pretty simple request, can anyone recommend me any story where the main character has to redeem themselves or something equivalent thereof?
I'm not picky on what the redemption actually is, whether it's public or interpersonal or internal... Whether they're nice or mean from the start, or whether they even try to redeem themselves intentionally, I don't have a preference, just gimme your best reccomendations.
The genre of the story can be anything, whether it's school, fantasy, isekai, romance, yaoi, etc, it's all welcome.
I like reading nuanced characterizations, even if it's not a deep, serious story or anything, it's surprisingly hard to find (or maybe it's skill issue on my part), I usually just end up finding revenge plots, which is perfectly fine but not what I'm looking for usually.

Also “My ID is Gangman Beauty,” but less of redeeming herself and more like validating her views on societal beauty and how real they are, while coming to terms that the people she assumes these values on, even if they really benefit from them the way she was disadvantaged by them, is unfair to them.
