I'm trying to understand why Mafuyu keeps saying he's lonely despite having Given, Ue, and his mom?? I guess it's not that easy to move on from such a traumatic experience with your first love, so I get that he still wants to "see" Yuki in music. But I hope that hole in his heart heals and that Yuki isn't his motivation for music. I want to believe that Ue isn't simply a replacement.
Like other comments have said, I think the author can't let go of Yuki---he's been a highlight in almost every arc, even till the last few pages of the extra ending. The original ending at least ended with Mafuyu and Ue.
The last line from him gave such a bittersweet tone to what I expected to be a happy conclusion ╥﹏╥
