I think it is supposed to be some time has passed ( A few days, weeks)after chapter 12 given the fact Gozu mentions that Eve used his magic/powers to make their journey on foot more comfortable/convenient. ╮(￣▽￣)╭

Yeah to add to that, they’ve been traveling, they see a town, eve asks if it’s the town gozu looking for and he says no. Then they see a dragon heading to town and eves like, no I want to bang Gozu on an actual bed and I can’t do that if the town gets burnt down. Eve then kills the dragon and all the towns people are super grateful and are treating them to food and accommodations. Gozu hears somebodies talking about the hero and gets worried. Then some individual storms into the inn and Gozu recognizes who it is
