This one you could argue is a little toxic but it’s not a characters fault
The premise is that the original author still has authority over the story and can inject thoughts into the original characters minds to influence them, so originally the ML is fairly rude and cruel to the FL but that’s because he’s being forced to operate as if she were a cruel Villainess. He later is able to fight the control, and apologizes profusely and respects her and he fights basically mind control for her
