We all know the nature of their relationship, I genuinely don't believe the author intends this to be purely smut and toxicity, as shown in the previous chapters. The story is solid and they are obviously well written characters. I genuinely believe they'll talk it out and it's gonna be something that gets highlighted. He did go over the board, but a healthy discussion would solve this in any normal and healthy relationship.
