Idk, this story was basic as hell.
The dynamic between the two is not the main problem of this story. In fact, it’s probably the only thing that gives it flavor. Even still, I never got the sense that the sister was a real person, just a plot device. So though the brother-in-law taboo was technically there, and definitely noticeable, I didn’t feel much of anything at all. (Also, the story really wants to drive home how totally okay she is with it… which is definitely a narrative choice.)
The other characters get a similar treatment. The widow is just a guy, his personality is… he likes the mc? The mc’s personality is being good at housework and kind of like a woman? Their relationship is even less developed. I still don’t get why the two of them even like each other, much less love each other so much that it’s unbearable. The only thing I see is a housekeeper and their employer. They only really ever talk about work or housework, and sometimes the sister.
This isn’t even that bad. It’s just boring and underdeveloped. Honestly, go spend your time reading a better— or just more interesting— manga.
