I feel like this is bound to be the reason for the make-or-break of their relationship, seeing as there is definitely a lack of communication somewhere. Luke is for sure trying to gauge what Andrew feels about things (getting along with his friends, their relationship being out in the open) since he knows Andrew is a huge ball of anxiety and tries to fill up the gaps. Andrew basically said in the last panel that there's no need to mull over things as long you fill the gaps, but that's just a recipe for a disaster waiting to happen because they have not faced the issue directly. It's like a band-aid solution and if not resolved properly, would ruin either one or both of them in the long run.
