Its quite refreshing to finally see a romance where people never actually got together, but rather exploring the characters in depth and flesh them out rather than doing the cliches. It also shows the power of friendship, and sometimes how it can get overshadowed by the rose tinted romance (not invalidating romance, its just friendship is so often overlooked)
