After only reading Dear Mr Rain and Dear Hatter I was going to write a completely different review. Something like "Gays be like YEARN, gays be like Hands". Their story was beautiful and bright, hopeful and inspiring. But now... Now that I've started The Speaker... I'm in pain. It's dark, gritty and haunting, but terribly compelling. It really is. My soul feels heavy as if I'm trying to carry the characters' pain, as if I could even begin to understand it.
