Basically the more you feel like a character the more you cannot move freely. You're like a puppet, you have to do actions the character you're playing does.
So in this case, since the immersion is so high he probably will have to watch himself bully that guy. Its going to be mental game
And at 100% immersion your "me" Is gone and you're locked as a character forever
