I really adore Nasu. I loved that Ran grew as a person. I really hope the other shoe will drop - like Kaya realizing he's essentially sucking all happiness out of Ran because of their 'promise' since they don't live in a vaccum, and he in turn grows as a person and starts healing somewhat.
Otherwise this shoujo will fall into the horror yandere genre for me. There is nothing fluffy and good about her ending up with Kaya. Just trauma, trauma bonding, pain, and self-abandonment. Damn. ╥﹏╥
