it's easier said than done tbh especially if you've been with that person for years. You would doubt yourself first, if it's your fault. You would even think it's your fault because you think you're not enough. You would try to fix things or even change yourself. It takes a lot of self realization and reflection to realize that it's not your fault that it's your partner. People have different ways to process trauma like this. I even know someone who hasn't dated anyone since their ex cheated on them. I got cheated on as well, though, I berated the fuck out of him and exposed him to his family because I know he was an ugly piece of shit and he's lucky I gave him my time of day but not everyone is like you and me.
