this chapter was a whirl of emotions but i think yeah, mokyeon has to be the one to end it. he will never have a chance to love nanjo and nanjo returning his feelings if all the pretenses of a "contract" are still up. it needs to end. and after some time, mokyeon needs to go to nanjo on his own accord, come clean and tell nanjo he never cared about sunhwa, and that this time he wants to court nanjo bc his feelings are genuine, and nanjo is too precious for him to just tiptoe around on a contract he never rly cared for outside getting closer to nanjo.
tldr he needs to woo nanjo without being bound to a contract so he can win nanjo's heart in earnest and nanjo would also finally give in to his budding (and confused) feelings , however small, for mokyeon. they need to start over.
