let‘s be honest. both are trash options. one is a criminal that gave mc ptsd while the other one is a smaller criminal who tries to get him involved in illegal shit. they are working im the same field and I can‘t see mc healing with either of them around, so I don’t understand why you think pink hair is any help tbh. fluffy head traumatized him and then left while pink hair first tried to threaten him on the island (if I remember correctly) and now tries to push himself onto him. like an I missing something?

Even if I personally wouldn‘t go for fluffy hair, mc clearly doesn‘t want pink hair yet he keps on pushing himself onto him. even though both don‘t give a shit about boundaries, fluffy hair is more likely to respect them. and like I said. pink hair tried to involve him in drug dealing. objectively speaking, mc is safer around fluffy hair than a low-level drug dealer. tho I still have hope for a healthy third option.

I hate to break like the news but fluffy hair lowkey assaulted the MC like, let’s not brush over that. That alone should disqualify him from being seen as “better.” And on top of that, he’s also dealing hard drugs. Guys showed up in underwater suits to deliver to him that’s not low-level, that’s some full-blown cartel activity. Just because he looks calm and collected doesn’t make him less dangerous. If anything, he’s the sketchiest of them all he gives actual mob boss energy. While Pink Hair might be involved in shady stuff, but he’s still young, clearly not as deep in and hasn’t crossed boundaries in the same way. He didn’t assault the MC, and there’s still a chance he could get out of that life. So yeah, maybe the MC isn’t into him right now, but Pink Hair is objectively the less dangerous of the two

in my opinion, fluffy is more likely to let mc go for his sake than pink hair. I cannot picture him having a normal life, nor provide that for mc. and I don‘t think he likes mc enough to even try. mc seems to be more like his amusing toy, than an actual human being. that‘s at least what I got from his „persuasion“ in chapter 44. („oh. your grandma is sick? fuck partime jobs and college. try dropping a package!“. actual devil. not even fluffy, who is an actual mob boss, would say shit like that. I‘d throw salt on a little shit like that to exorcise the demons out of him)

and while change is still hypothetically possible for him, I don‘t think he will. once you’re in, you’ll never really get out. I feel like fluffy is past his reckless phase and will ensure mc’s safety first before anything else. that‘s why I think he‘s the safer option. if mc would cleary tell him to fuck off (like he did in season 1), he would (like he already did). hence, safer option -_-

Also: Pink Hair’s a dumbass teenager trying to survive. He pushes boundaries, yes. He’s impulsive and selfish and clearly messed up, but there’s still room for growth. At least we’ve seen glimpses of actual regret, or the possibility of change. Fluffy, though? Fluffy’s done playing the game he is the game. He’s not backing out for MC’s safety, he’s just playing the long con with a softer tone.

fluffy uses other people most of the time, is more aware of the issues around, knows what risks to take and which not. pinkhair: actual airhead, impulsive, drags mc into it and has the spatial awareness of a goldfish. higher risk, less likely to be caught vs less risky, but more likely to be caught.

and what I said about the package thing was not to underline pinkie being manipulative. both obviously are. but the sheer lack of empathy. pfui. plus pinkie actively keeps on triggering mc left and right, even though he told him he gets scared.

I think the issue we have in this discussion is that you‘re seeing this from an exclusively real-life perspective, while I‘m still adding the characters personality. in real life, people are far more complex, nuanced, have different layers of motivation and moral ambiguity, while these characters DON‘T. they are somewhat shallow, and they each fit into a specific archetype. with the way the characters are written and portrayed, it makes no sense for pinkie to be the better choice. he‘s the typical character that will end up even worse and DO worse. his convo about the package delivery is just the introduction. not getting mc, will be his way off of the bad path. that’s where the glimpse you talked about comes into play. which is exactly why I cannot understand your views.

(the other one is being an annoying airhead) their personalities are solely written to progress a specific narrative. same with fluffy. herefore, there is no hope and I don’t understand where you’re getting these hidden agendas from. ಠ_ಠ

While I agree with you on some points I just feel as though we will never truly see eye to eye T-T so I’m just going to agree to disagree! But honestly I enjoyed reading another persons perspective and being able to disagree abt it
