That was cute and I love how they aren't together in both worlds, it's a breath of fresh air. In that other world, Inomata loved Torii-san and they looked good together. Meanwhile eito(?) had been looking at taichi and watching him, he knew taichi more than anyone did, I think they deserved each other as much as Inomata and Taichirou did in the original world.
It just so happened that in the original world, they met because of Taichirous courage(or impulsiveness) and Inomatas choice. In any other world, they'd have nothing to do with each other but they'd both have people who love them and see them for who they are and that's still quite lovely.
