I've been posting so much, but its bc this story is so well written. Regarding Dohu's hair, The more I think about Dohu’s long hair, the more it breaks me.
When Juheon left, Dohu kept everything exactly as it was, even his hair.
Because cutting it would mean time has passed and that Dohu moved on. And he never did.
His long hair symbolizes the four years of waiting,
of hoping the person he loved would come back and still recognize him.
He changed in every painful way, like wearing hats, hiding himself, and didn't keep his hair short because it was the one that reminded him of Juheon and cutting it would mean thathe accepted that their relationship is in the past, but its not .
The cicadas scene hurts so much because Dohu actually learned how to comfort Juheon, he just learned what Juheon really wanted too late.
Back in Ch. 51, when Juheon was anxious about talking to his aunt, Dohu told him:
“Mr. Cicada is shy, but once he sees your face, he’ll come out.”
It was way of comforting Juheon and saying, I’m here, You’re not alone.
So now, when he gets drunk four years later, and he hugs Juheon telling him:
“Where have you been? Today the cicadas…”
He’s really saying dont disappear, I wasn't able to understand you then but I'm here now, I still love you.
Through the last 4 years Dohu beat himself up and now understands the emotions Juheon needed all along. Their breakup wasn’t because they didn’t care about one another, It was because they didn’t know how to say what they really needed or what they wanted to say.
And the saddest part?
He might not even remember saying it…
but Juheon will. my heart hurts
The fact that the neighbor knows Dohu and has called the cops on him repeatedly, tells us that
Dohu must have gone back to that apartment repeatedly over the last four years, to the point where that guy wants to move states.
Every time he got drunk, he ended up at the place where he last felt loved. Because in his heart, that door is supposed to open again.
He has hoped for four years that Juheon would answer, even though it never happened.
And yes, both of them made mistakes.
Both failed to communicate.
Both got hurt.
But one of them has spent four years drowning in the consequences, while the other one walked away and avoided dealing with it. From what we seeing right now, Juheon was able to become a actor and has connections to get a good role, his life looks like it moved foward. while we see Dohu get worse everyday and still live in the past and in guilt, I fear he will collapse soon.
At some point, pain stops being a reason and starts becoming a punishment.No one deserves to suffer this long , especially someone who never understood why he lost the person he loved.
Dohu has hurt enough.
It’s time for Juheon to finally open the door and stop punishing Dohu and forgive him, or else Dohu can find someone else who will love him.
Literally crying at the fact that Dohu waited all these years for Juheon to come back. Going to his apt every time he gets drunk, still hoping for one more moment with him.
He’s stuck in the past, his heart never recovered from the day Juheon disappeared.
“Why are you treating me like someone you never loved?” That line from Party 4 U is exactly what this chapter feels like. Because Dohu never stopped loving him, and now that Juheon is back, Juheon is being cold and its affecting Dohu. Through the nightmares hes having again about Juheon disappearing, more smoking, lack of sleep, getting wasted, this hurts
Not Juehon being in denial, this hurts . He saw him leave, like y didnt u ask if he was okay . The audacity to say who does he think he is and what right Dohu has to be there when Dohu is clearly not well, like bro pls dont be an ass rn.The fact that Dohu has been there so many times, they called the cops on him . The way Juheon hugged him but still called him Baek Dohu, ugh just step over my heart. It hurts to see them both suffer like this, but how Dohu started talking about cicadas and asked where Juheon has been , just kill me. I hate how Juheon is acting as if Dohu never liked him when there are so many signs then and now, and how he just chooses to ignore them and be mean as a way to justify why he left, its not fair, atp hes punishing Dohu .
I agree, I feel like Dohu should disappear after they meet 5 times so Juheon can panic and realize his feelings he is bottling up. i think thats where this will go after the next ch, Juheon will accept but still be cold to him. I do think it's a bit too far to hold this against him for four years, like I get where Juehon is coming from but he's just hurting himself and Dohu by refusing to acknowledge his feelings but also heal himself in the process. Also in the last ch, the manger said he thought Dohu looked fine bc he kept chugging drinks, so does that mean he regularly gets wasted now to cope with the heartbreak? And when he does this, he goes back to Juheons old place, i hate this.

Seeing the recent chapters and the recent raw, idek where this story is going anymore. Tbh I don't even think they should get back together, they clearly have unresolved trauma and will just end up with them hurting each other, they need more time apart, maybe seo an should go overseas alone. Also why did it cut off to Seo An potentially hitting Woowon? Like if he does, that's fucked up, especially since he knows the abuse woowon went thru. If he does hit him, im dropping this, idek y the author went that route, like y is this story becoming so toxic?
So if Dohu left already, that means he was probably gone for a while. I'm hoping Juheon noticed, but idk his nonchalant act is starting to piss me off. Ik u can't trust dohu again, but u can't at least ask to see where he went? Like he helped you with the drinks even though u told him no, the least u can do is see if he's ok
Someone in another site mentioned a re-run on cicadas, i think it was ch.50 . What if he always does this when drunk, takes a out cicadas, and looks for Juheon in hopes he would re-appear like he did back then. I fear when Dohu starts talking about cicadas, Juheon will tell his manager he doesn't know what Dohu is talking about and dismiss him . I can't with this, I hate it. I get that Juheon needs to act nonchalant, but it hurts seeing him ignore Dohu, like pls make up .
Why was this ch so short, like they didnt even interact just one short line. Also idk if its just me but Juheon is starting to piss me off a little, trying to act all nonchalant, but I can see where he is coming from. Seeing that Dohu is at Juheon old apt, someone mentioned that he probs would go there everyime he got drunk to see if Juehon would ever come back, that broke me gang ngl .
Based on the medicine dohu bought for himself and ended up giving it to Juheon, I fear he may collapse soon . This song reminds me of them. bring them back, I hate this

Dohu ate, telling him not to pull that shit again bc hes right. That shit is so low, he's asking dohu to quit his job once again, like he's not gonna quit bc u feel uncomfortable or to accommodate you. Sorry but dohu got this job after you left and he shouldn't have to quit just bc u unexpectedly came back again. Also while dohu looks fine smoking, I worry he will collapse soon, everyone can see this :(

I loved how Dohu stood his ground and said bro im just doing my job, I didn't ask to direct you, the director did. I hate how Juheon used that card about him not being able to read emotions. Like bro why go so low? First he acts like he doesnt know him and then says that? Idk I feel you have no right to say that when u wanted to pretend you never knew him before this occurred. Though I did love how we saw some of his dialouge, he still cares, he's just scared and is saying hurtful things so he doesn't get hurt again
