you know like webtoons that won’t wear on your sanity to read..... i cant remember any good examples but preferably without a meek pretty boy mc/ love interest (if there’s a himbo or the mc has a gay awakening, BIG PLUS!!!) and in a normal setting. too tired for mafia or vampires or anything supernatural
just finished an essay and wanna take my mind off things with the most cliché ”himbo meets another buff hot guy and has a gay awakening” webtoons out there
im not super picky about couple tropes though as long as it’s braindead. like i dont wanna think rn. there’s this one webtoon where the mc can dream of future accidents and iirc that was pretty easy to read? so kinda like that

Hi, I’m trying to get into writing comics so I’m looking for a one-shot that I can ”copy” the plot of for practice (obv won’t get published anywhere), does anyone have recommendations?
I have a couple limitations and I’m sorry in advance for being so picky, but that’s also why I need help:
- The premise can’t be ”too” Japanese aka something that wouldn’t work in a western setting, such as delinquents or love letter confessions
- Similarly, a plot that hinges on homophobia; it still exists where I live but not in a way that would seriously impact the plot, so it would feel a bit odd if a character was being shunned at his job for being gay (we take workplace discrimination very seriously)
- Preferably not fantasy
- The plot can’t be dependent on sex since I won’t draw it (for now)
- Preferably not a couple that’s already dating, since I want to improve at writing people getting together or who are falling in love
- No incest or non-con or anything like that. And no prostitution!!
I’m willing to sacrifice one or two of these if it’s hard to find something that fits. :’)
The artstyle doesn’t matter since I’ll be drawing in my own style regardless. I only care about plot right now

it's a coming of age comic, therefore no smut. it's set in usa, and is by an american author so that solves the cultural issue.
it addresses homophobia and homosexuality but in a way that doesn't feel too head on. it's not fantasy either since it's a modern setting without too many fictional elements.
the art style is also easy and not very complex or advanced, so it'll work really well for practicing. good luck!

Western ”one-shots” are crazy though, that thing is over 200 pages!!!
