Not an excuse but I think it’s kinda sad how the cycle of abuse continued from Jaekyung father to himself. Him and Kim Dan took their abuse very different, Jaekyung took it as an excuse to continue the pain, while Kim Dan took it as a sign to continue being kind despite the pain he’s endured
so true like jaekyung became just like the person who hurt his younger self- and its so sad because dan is a foil for his younger self and innocence. idk his backstory makes me 100x more mad cus he went through the same shit as dan and had such little empathy for dan- which im sure comes from jaekyung hating his own innocence and weakness but. god its just so frustrating to read ngl
