I also recommend the novel for "Turning" as it's one of my top k-novels!

MA'AM RANDOMPERSON, IF YOU WANT TO READ SUICIDAL PROTAG, YOU NEED TO READ "A TRACE OF THE WONDER"
it's a bl romance, with a very cathartic reveal. The protagonist isn't stupid or pathetic and the effects of his depression are discussed regularly. You'll love it, thought it's a longer read.
