I wish more people would understand that Seth is a multifaceted character, he has his strong points but he has his flaws too. Of course we feel for what he’s gone through, no one deserves to be raped/manipulated the way he was. It’s heartwrenching to see the way Anubis is rejecting him, and how everyone is seemingly against him. And let’s not mention the green goblin. But we can’t forget that Seth was and is a tyrant. He slaughtered and oppressed Egypt for centuries, hunted/oppressed Isis and Horus, and abused Anubis and Nepthys. It just seems like people fixate only on the abuse he’s gone through because he’s the main character and hot.
Seth is both a victim and an abuser! He has been through a lot but he also has flaws! I understand people being biased towards him, because he’s my favorite character too, but also don’t just think that Seth is “baby boi” and an “angel”, because he is not and thinking him as such is doing a disservice to his character and Mojito’s writing in my opinion.

Ngl i do feel disturbed when mojito show how horrible seth was during his tyranny. But at the end of the day, i know Seth will be punished fairly and even during his tyranny his son loath him (which imo is the worse feeling a father could get)
╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭ also I guess im being bias because Osiris didn’t get punished as hard as seth(?). He’s just there in Duat stalking Seth and is still painted as innocent. Like that dude just destroyed his brother’s family, drugged and raped him, try to impregnate him and still get away with it. It’s frustrating how the ENNEAD cannot prosecute him just because he’s in Duat.

It annoys me how many people keep getting shocked/angry over the extras post ch.73, thinking it’s canon. This issue has been cleared up countless times in the comments and is LITERALLY on the first page of every chapter, like how much clearer can you get? And still people keep thinking its part of canon -_-
Idc if people think I am unnecessarily annoyed over this, just PLEASE get a pair of glasses and some critical thinking skills
To the poster, could you put a huge announcement right in the middle of the chapter for all the blind folks? Just to really hammer home the point (and also thanks for your endless patience in replying to those people, could not be me lmao, hence this comment)

So after S2, there's extra chapters 73-76 (i think prob 73-75) where hours rapes Seth in an AU, which is also NOT part of the main story but people are upset about it ruining the story, people in the comment section keep bashing the whole manhaw on it, misleading potential readers, and filling up the comment section with it so its kinda annoying
*COMMENT MAY BE SLIGHTLY SPOILERY*
I’m both happy that this webtoon is gaining more attention bc it deserves it, and also annoyed that the crowd it is attracting is only here bc of the BL they see on the cover. This story has much more than just two guys getting it on, like a solid plot, complex characters and motives, and gray morality among other things. But just because the main couple aren’t having sex in the first couple chapters, people don’t like it or they skip through just to get to the sex and miss a ton of context/plot. These are the kinds of people who get angry at this story for “romanticizing rape” or are completely confused and say this story doesn’t make sense when THEY are the ones who aren’t bothering to read carefully.
The rape one is what really annoys me. Nowhere in this story is the rape romanticized and seen as a foundation of a relationship. It is rightfully portrayed as a traumatic experience, and the victim continues to suffer what looks like PTSD from it. It is used to drive the story forward, and the first one was the catalyst for the main story. In the second rape, both characters are actually nonconned, as one was possessed. (Although there is only so many times you can excuse rape as being necessary for the plot, and I’m hoping Mojito doesn’t cross that line.) If you didn’t realize this about the rapes, please reread the story.
About the story being confusing, I understand why it might be because a lot of information and characters motives are implied or rely on backstories, but if you read it carefully once or twice it will make sense.
Either way, this is not one of those simple, feel good BLs where you can skim the story to get to the sex and still kinda understand the plot. The BL isn’t even the main focus really, for season 1 at least. Don’t read it if you expect it to be so.
THIS WHOLE THREAD !!
I totally agree with you.
