Penelope stays with Callisto, theres a scene where Penelope meets her other family through the mirror n talks to them. She appears before them in the form of Penelope n they knew it was her immediately, and was telling her how they loved her n wanted her forgiveness. She basically tells to fuck off lol, she pulls out her own life support n kills her other body in front of them n goes back to Callisto. Callisto in the other world thought she rlly left but she came bacc. He becomes a bit… no who am I kidding lol, he becomes anxious n obsessive A LOT thinking she’s gonna leave him for her other world. He keeps her in their room I think or the castle, basically holding her captive for a while (sounds rlly bad but other than locking her up he didn’t do anything, n this didn’t last for long cuz, well y’know Penelope lol. She’s gonna tell him off n stop that bs). I think Penelope got mad at him, I dun remember how but she punished him sum way for being unreasonable lol n also successfully reassured him that shes not leaving, ever. N they go back to normal lol. This all happens in the side stories.

It's difficult to remember that sometimes, as for some people some of the things that happen in this manhwa just hit too close to home

Yeah it's fictional but there's a lot of young impressionable minds reading this. If people just easily accept it as ok to forgive abusers easily and to just accept them, young minds will grow thinking this type of behavior is fine (●'◡'●)ﾉ

Personally, I don't really think he should be forgiven easily but I do believe he should be given a chance of redemption. And that chance ofc shouldn't be handed out easily (cough fuck derrick ahem!) Like yeah he did abuse penelope and constantly blame her but its also obvious he is trying to redeem himself and be a better brother. The same goes for the Duke. He was very neglectful towards penelope but he's trying and at least there's that bc some of these fathers in other stories dont even do that much.

And to the other person (if they read this) just because its fictional doesnt mean situations like this don't happen in real life. Yes its a story with characters that wouldn't be real in rl or is 100% coincidental but the circumstances exist. Saying the story is fictional doesnt validate that what is happening in the story is okay and should be fine to just forgive someone bc they're different now or "changed"

It's true that many characters like Reynold and the Dad are trying to apologize for the abuse, but still they deserve more than just a slap on the wrist. Like so far all I remember Reynolds really do is the minimum to apologize and stop bullying her. Also he gave her bunnies, like what...years of abuse and all you have to do is give her bunnies..nah bro. Also yeah Derrick absolutely has done nothing to be forgiven for. It's even worse knowing that SPOILER ALERT he has been low-key crushing on MC since she was a kid and he was older then her (insert siren sounds) ヽ(`Д´)ﾉ

Yeah I agree reynold and daddy are gonna have to risk their life AT LEAST to make up for the abuse they've put penelope through during her entire life. I'm just glad there's change actually happening with them and its not something immediate but a gradual change over time.

Honestly I prefer this slow burn forgiveness arc as well. I don't really like it when they make the MC have a naive heart and forgive their abusers just because they said sorry. Also Reynolds and the Dad definitely better jump in front of Penelope to avoid getting her killed in order for me to actually start accepting their apology as well ┑(￣Д ￣)┍

Personally, I'VE forgiven Reynold, but that doesn't mean I want Penelope to forgive him yet yk? I can like Reynold as a character and also like the fact that Penelope is reacting to him the way she should be, A.K.A. with severe distrust. Reader opinion on a character can differ from reader opinion on character opinion of character.

Let's be honest young ppl definitely should not be reading on this website and should use a more appropriate one but truth is they will be using this one bc it's one of the most convenient manga website. Also even then I think the age rating is still aimed for young adults so one way or another they were the audience ╮(￣▽￣)╭

regardless of the fact its fiction and how far along we are, my point is to not forget how little effort theyve truly put in to be so friendly towards penelope as they are now. the way they treated her came from intentions and characteristics that are very prevalent in the real world unfortunately, and SOME people fail to distinguish between the two (adult or not)
