This was waaaaay better than I expected. I got quite emotional while reading chapter 5 which is unusual for me. "Hello there abandonment issues! We meet again." Hah. Considering the high quality of the rest of the story though, I feel like they could have had a better beginning to their current relationship, because that would have taken this story from good to something I'd encourage others to read.
