Nah the mother piss me off, no explaining or reasoning is gonna make me like her. The only way could be someone threatened to harm her son if she didnt comply but thats very unlikely a case seeing how much they all care of her or in general doesn't seem like they would do that to her. I would've even understood her if she had found a way to secretly help her son grow through financial aide but no he had to work his whole life to afford school, take up loans to survive and treat his grandma, he has a harsh life and she didnt help her in anyway. I mean they reached out to him when she died so you cant convince me by saying that they or she didnt have a way to help mc grow in a good state. But they had the audacity to make him fo all funeral chores for someone who abandoned him? And then the cost of all that was so high that he had to sell everything and became homeless so now he's forced to take over her job coz he got nowhere to go? If thats not the most infuriating lore I've read in a hot minute then idk. Im sure its going to be revealed smthg like his mom "CARED and LOVED sooo much for the mc in her own way~, she cried tears while she was away~" fuck you no amount of internal love and care matters when it didnt reach the person that it was intended too.
