I just finished the manga and im genuienly so confused. He was executed BUT he wasnt actually BUT THEN last chapter shows him being sentenced with death penalty or whatever and hes in prison. So is he dead or no?
P sure the last chapter was like a little rewind to show the reader his final sentiments or whatever. Poorly written/paced imo but meh
I really need to get this off my chest now bcs I’ve been seeing soooo many ppl defending this man and saying “oh oushi isn’t that bad, he’s just overprotective” “he just loves her” ok and??? Doesn’t justify him being mean to Yuki? If u really love someone wouldn’t you let them go? Wdym he’s fighting for her love, clearly Yuki is happy with Itsuomi but him trying to go after a girl who’s already in a relationship is a huge red flag. Not to mention his friend who 100% fully supports him? The whole how to get Cinderella thing? Nuh uh. I really want to think of oushi as a great guy but doing this is just wrong and no one should defend and support that kind of behaviour.. and again I dont hate him I just don’t like the way the author made his character. This guy had so many chances to confess to her, and he doesn’t. Instead, now that Yuki has a bf, he tries pulling all sorts of stunts? Tsk tsk

The shounen ai tag is accurate. It’s not a “bl”, it’s an honest coming of age and lgbt story. It’s not just about romance or one character. It’s about growing up and figuring yourself out. If you want spoilers read the last two chapters yourself, otherwise go along for the ride and you won’t regret it

So lowkey, I gathered that he had been using his power to keep Gramps alive or something along those lines since he had been visiting Gramps dreams every night, so that was why after Gramps died, he was doing better

I think Geum was just weak in the beginning of the story due to the forest dying, so he wanted kids to pass down his duties just in case he grew too weak to do it himself? The story never mentioned whether the forest was getting turned into a golf resort in the end or not either
