How are people even comparing the crown prince to asriel the pope? Sure, they both did her dirty but asriel only had pure intentions to give her the freedom he thought she wanted. Was it wrong of him to make that decision for her and even ruin what she had been working for? Absolutely. But he so obviously did NOT wish her harm or pain and genuinely felt he was doing the right thing for her. Meanwhile the crown prince was an absolute piece of filth who only wanted to see the princess set aside her pride and dignity and beg to be by his side because of his insecure fragile ego, and when she didn’t do that he went crazy and pushed his own blame and sorrow onto her. Calling them both trash is crazy work to me bc the only trash is the emperor and the crown prince. Asriel was just a guy who wanted to do good but went about it in a bad way. He’s not trash, he’s just flawed and deserves his forgiveness because regardless of how he did it his only real purpose was for Ersia’s happiness and freedom imo.
