What I’m saying is that it would feel appropriate for a “bad ending” sequel.
It doesn’t make sense for that^ (bad ending) to be told with the title of “marriage of convenience” as it would leave the theme. So it was necessary and appropriate to end this story here, but a sequel in a different genre doesn’t feel out of place.
You could argue that this is a magnificent prequel story to a much larger adventure/fantasy manga.

I appreciate that he’s already easing up after being home a couple days. He wants to take her out and show her new things while showing her off. With everything she’s going to experience for the first time he’s probably going to question her as to why she’d never left and why she speaks so lowly of herself. ╥﹏╥ he’ll probably figure out how she was treated soon. I hope she realizes that she never deserved to be treated like that
