Okay so completely random, j just remembered in one of the earlier chapters when the empress was pregnant she said she didn't care if her child(etienne) was recessive or dominant as long as they were an alpha but then in the latest chapter she said that if a dominant omega gives birth to an alpha or omega it will always be dominant so for some reason she temporarily forgot about that
