begging on my hands and knees for longer chapters but otherwise this story is so cute and wholesome (+ perfect) jichan is still a little annoying but i also get where he's coming from with the constant "but do you really like him" questions. he's been hurt in the past by guys who weren't sure about their own sexualities so i'm guessing he's just making sure baekya doesn't unintentionally hurt anyone's feelings. at least that's how i read it?

he's such a damsel in distress, run of the mill, helpless uke rn like what happened to his AUTONOMY. he barely has any personality anymore, he doesn't have friends and his old fuck buddy clearly dgaf about him which makes me kinda sad. he's kind of like a woman written by a man in the sense that his entire world now revolves around his dominant male partner and consequentially he barely even feels like a character anymore. i won't be able to conclude my thoughts on this until the story is over but atm i can't tell if this is just bad writing or if this is supposed to be the "point". i'm really hoping this is just a temporary period and he shows more of his baddie side again. anyways, glad i wasn't the only one that noticed their proportions are off—it's becoming a little absurd

The story was very different in the beginning. Had he acted this way the whole time maybe I wouldn't be so annoyed but GODDAMN!
I see some people argue that it's his trauma making him act different, but imo, it's probably just the author changing their mind about his personality and wanting to make him weak so he can be a punching bag. Since that's just the norm these days with these stories

Omg yes I agree, it is sooo different from what it was originally presented as /neg. I'm all for stories changing midway through if it's done correctly. However, it is obvious that somewhere in the middle, the plot shifted into something sort of unrecognizable. I remember there was a period of confusion where it seemed like no one, like literally none of the readers knew what was going on It would definitely make sense if the case ends up being that the author wanted to change Chaon's personality, therefore the story itself had to change. We won't know until the story ends if it was really just his trauma or a complete character assassination but I'm leaning towards the latter at this moment.
Also, would it be a reach to say I think the art style changing correlates with the author changing their mind about the way this story progresses from now on? I know authors will sometimes change their style midway through the story (which is fine) but the way their faces get smaller with each chapter and their body types have become so exaggerated it sort of feels purposeful. Idk maybe it's a stretch but with Chaon's character shaping out to be a regular degular uke while his appearance physically gets more twinkier with every chapter it feels like these things are not a coincidence iddkkkk. (i know chaon isn't eating well and this is probably a stretch but i just have this feeling that i can't put into words )
Sorry if this is a lot I'm just annoyed because at first I thought this story was interesting in a "this is a decent plot for a pwp, bdsm type story"—the art was so different and enjoyable, i liked how Chaon was broader and looked less like a twig that could snap any second. He and Sehan had similarish body types and looking back, I kinda miss it. When the plot started going south I tried to not let it bother me too much because I still enjoyed the art; now that the art is going downhill I cannot ignore how annoyed I am about the plot any longer

EXACTLY! I feel this story was praised because of how different it was compared to your stereotypical BL. This story is absolutely unrecognizable.
The thing is, if the author just kept up with the og plot, og character personalities, and didn't downgrade art wise, this story probably would still be doing good. We're all just annoyed at the nerf of literally every aspect of this story LMAO
