I think Josh height is wrong, from what I remember, in the novel they say he's a BIT shorter than the other bodyguards, like a 10 cm difference at most

It's not that deep but I wonder why do authors, most of the time, chose to keep repeating always the same patterns and clichés without ever trying to step away from them. Is it because they think audience won't like an original turn of events?
