I'm actually enjoying this manga although it can be very frustrating...
In my opinion the author has made the female protagonist too dense and the male protagonist too amazing. I understand the whole thing of him always coming on top because that rivalry is the only thing that links them together, but at this point it's just annoying.
Also it's obvious to the readers that he has feelings for her, however he never makes a move and, again, that's super frustrating. He gets mad at other guys showing interest in her, but he himself never does it. I think it's got to do with that part when they say nobles can't marry commoners and the conversation they had when he turned into a kid, but still... ugh. He only goes for the "caring-about-her-behind-the-scenes" thing... what good will it do if she doesn't know?? You gotta make senpai notice you!!
This is super slow burn... I'm pretty sure they're only going to end up together at the very end and there will probably be a lot of drama and misunderstandings until then. ヽ(`Д´)ノ
All that said, I will be here for it.

Honestly I didn't really like this...
The guy is super selfish throughout the story until the end. They're relationship is not very healthy, like first of all he sexually harassed her. Then he kept on treating her badly and giving her mixed signals. When they started dating he still treated her bad and supposedly didn't even have feelings for her, she even says that their feelings are miles apart at some point. Why are you dating if your feelings don't match?? After that he gets more possessive and says he doesn't want her to be with other guys, but the same doesn't apply to him. He was even okay with kissing another girl and didn't understand why that made his girlfriend upset. He never communicated his feelings to her properly and always did whatever he wanted without considering her feelings. Like not letting her call him just cause she wants to talk to him and going days with no contact, that's a no-no.
The story was just him being an asshole to his girlfriend, but then doing something nice and unexpected that would pull her back in and makes her forget he is actually an asshole. This is basic manipulation and a total red flag in a relationship.
Basically this relationship only worked because she was a simp for him. If he wasn't a "prince" this would not have worked.
Sure in then end he was all cute and clingy, but damn... could have done that earlier...

I always find these types of stories funny because they are inspired in a time period where it would be very unlikely for the events to transpire like this.
In most societies men cheated, be it when they were courting, engaged or already married and the women couldn't do much about it. This would be especially true for marriages of convenience. At most women could, maybe, break off the engagement and that's that. A divorce would be very unlikely since it was frowned upon by society.
I know it's fiction and it's all for the plot, but I can't help but always think about this ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭.
It's such an exaggeration to get fired from your job cause you cheated. It doesn't happen today, so it definitely wouldn't happen then.

I really like this manga!
The main characters are adorable and I love their relationship!
All the drama in this story is in the events happening around them rather than misunderstandings in their relationship.
The side characters are also good. I love the girl power going on in the story. I suppose a character like Milanda is bound to show up in this type of shoujo manga, but it didn't really bother me as much as it usually does since her shenanigans didn't go anywhere.
Overall a good read so far. I just want to hurry up and see their wedding!! (≧∀≦)

Really good manga!
Unlike some other mangas with fat heroines I have read, the romance doesn't happen due to some fetish or after she's lost weight.
The ML really is too good to be true. He falls for her for her personality and never criticises her weight. During her dieting journey he is very supportive and doesn't complain about her weight loss.
I'm sad it was so short ╥﹏╥
I like that the author showed her efforts to lose weight in a healthy way and how she never stopped enjoying eating throughout the story.
If I have to say, the only thing that bothered me a little was when she said she lost weight to become more lovable... ( ̄へ ̄)

The story so far is alright. There were some things that annoyed me a bit, but it is what it is...
I bet the childhood friend is going to become the second male lead and it makes no sense. Through out the whole story they didn't give any hints and the characters have no chemestry whatsoever... now all of a sudden his going to get feelings for her just to add some rivalry or drama or whatever ┑( ̄Д ̄)┍

Like most people kn the comments I also prefer Sett...! I know she'll probably end up with Az though... I know everything he does is for her blah blah blah, but he is still hurting her in the process!

I'm not a big fan of stories where the original lead becomes the villain and tries to monopolize everyone. I think it's a lot more interesting when the "villaines" finds a way to get along with the original lead and helps her go beyond her role as a girl everyone loves. Like the guys are a-holes, it would be better if the girls became friends and worked together towards their own happy endings.

All the guys in these stories were assholes tbh...
The short guy annoyed me the most, she shouldn't have gotten back together with him

I think the intention behind this story is good but, in my opinion, the author didn't go about it in the best way. For starters the author makes it seems like, in the beginning, that only people with a certain "taste" would be into fat girls and that no one could just like them for who they are.
The way their relationship starts is a bit strange. He says he only likes chubby girls because one fell on top of him once and it felt good...? That's totally fetishism; it's the same as the people who like manga and anime say they only like japanese or asian people. Even though, through out the story, we are shown that he likes her beyond her chubbiness, chubbiness seems to always be the main attraction point. There is also a moment when she feels insecure about his feelings for her, wondering if they would be together if she wasn't fat and instead of saying "yes, because I love you no matter what you look like" or something he just asks her if she's going to lose weight in the future, she says no, problem solved; implying that if she actually did think of losing weight maybe they couldn't be together then. Even when showing that he likes her personality it always revolves around her being fat, one way or another.
On the other hand, Hiyami didn't have any of that. He may be a bit rough and straight forward, but he was never really mean to her. He cared for her and even after realising his feelings for her he only cared about her happiness. His reasons for liking her had nothing to do with her physical appearance. He simply fell for her.
When Tagami asks her if Hiyama's feelings would give her more confidence than his own I think it only makes sense that they would. From the beginning Tagami mostly focused on her body, while Hiyami never cared about her body and only saw her for who she is.
So I think the author chose the wrong character to be the main lead. I think Hiyami's feelings have bigger body positivity message than Tagami's. Hiyami shows you that love goes beyond appearance.

I hated that they cheated on all of the stories except one, the story I liked the least. The first three one shots could've been really good if only they hadn't cheated, but I suppose it was asserted in the first chapter that guys suck so... checks out

Really adorable!! I love how they supported each other's dreams and rooted for one another. Obviously it wouldn't be a shoujo without the lil' old misunderstanding ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭

I didn't like the second story. He bullies her for 13 years and then throws a tantrum when she acts scared of him. Like what did you expect my guy? And it doesn't make sense that suddenly she loles him. That Stockholm syndrome

Ummm... i guess the story was cute, but I don't think those girls were completely wrong tbh. If you agree to date someone you can't always just talk about the things you like, one has to show interest in the other person's interests as well.

Uuuuugh... I read this when I was kid and I had really liked it, but rereading it now... it's not a very good story... both guys treat her badly because of some girl... ouji was just using her to make himself feel better and hiro was just giving mixed signasl and then blowimg her off because of his "friends girlfriend" who was also supposedly his girlfriend that he was taking care of until they got back together... wtf
The girl should've just gone back to the countryside or dumped them both tbh. She didn't even end up with either of them. It was just an ambiguous ending.

Super cute story! The characters are good, the plot is simple and there's no unnecessary drama. My only complaint is that it should be longer...!!!

Cute story, good characters. Overall a nice read. The only thing that kind of bugged me throughout is that she was 13/14 and the guy was 16/17... at this age it's a big gap and a little weird...

potterhead created a topic of Haruyuki Bus

A cute set of one-shots. I like how some of them connect. The only "complaint" is that I wanted more of some of the chapters!

Very cute, no drama. Just the way I like it

I think these types of stories are an insult to women. She spent the whole time chasing after him. He was just doing whatever. There was this other guy who was way better and really liked her, but who does she choose? The guy who broke her heart, chose another girl and was about to leave the country with her...
