These chapters are in Mincheols POV but they are very centered around Na Haesoo. We learn about her father, what other people thought of her back in school, how Mincheol used to treat her, why they most likely got in debt,... I could go on.

We get a lot of insight on Mincheol's personality but not much else. I mean, we don't know about his family life at all or what he wants to go to college for even though its brought up a lot. Everything we've seen thus far has some connection to Haesoo.

Haesoo has lived more of her life with Mincheol than without, so it makes sense that we have to know him to know her.

Ppl complaining about seeing backstory or focusing on other characters like Mincheol isn't a main character. The endgame couple doesn't have to be the only main characters. I think it's good that Mincheol has a real personality. It's different from other stories where the ex is just a piece of shit just because. (also both men are heavily flawed)

You can feel bad for a person but also not tolerate the way they behave. It seems like in the past Kang Mincheol was a little hot headed, arrogant, kinda reminds me a little of Korra from LoK. But he definitely loved Hae-soo a lot. It seems like the financial situation they're in might be because of something that happened to her and he was willing to sacrifice so much for her. But of course finances are the #1 reason why people get divorced.

I cant completely hate Mincheol, he still has that young boy who is kind, selfless and loyal inside of him; but we all have to lay in the beds we make and he sucks for cheating and tearing down Hae-soo's self esteem.

I think this is the case with Kiseong. He doesn't admit it but he absolutely feels like he is the safest with Kijeong and will act out because he knows deep down she will not abandon or hurt him. Kiseong is projecting his hurt onto Kijeong, because the grooming began when Kijeong was planning to leave. So he must've felt abandoned. Even though he had the choice to go with her he's still a child who just got his feelings hurt so he's going to be petty.

The brother is very conflicting. I get that his resentment towards her is because she is easier to confront than the real danger (his cousin) but damn he isn't very understanding at all. I wouldn't be surprised if Kijeong was also abused by the cousin but 'aged out' of his preferences. She was willing to give up her own room to ensure that he never got near the brother. Very common protection method. But the brother will never know because he refuses to talk to her.

Clarifying some things!!

In all 3 of the timelines Kloff never loved Rapiel, and its implied that was the same for Rapiel.

The point that the author is making is that Aeroc and Kloff were fated to be together, but in the first timeline there were many obstacles that led to the tragedy. Both of them are more alike than they think and their haughty/hard headed attitudes led them to their downfalls.

Kloff does get punished in the timelines. In the first he has a ruined relationship with his children, nearly killed one, and is haunted by the cabin. Second timeline he gets nightmares from the first constantly, and his reputation does suffer. Third timeline he remembers everything but Aeroc doesnt.
The biggest punishment of all is that Kloff will never get to see the Aeroc he loved the most (1st) and cannot apologize to him, make up for it, or tell him he loves him.

As for Aeroc, you have to understand that he is very much in love with Kloff. I mean he was willing to at the least harm Rapiel because of his jealousy. He cant 'get over' Kloff. Also they're imprinted and it carries over in all timelines so no matter what he would fall in love with Kloff. Consider this 2nd timeline as a win for Aeroc even though its fucked up. He gets to have a do-over. He still believes he's at fault for everything so this timeline he is willing to accept Kloffs affection because he believes he's mostly atoned for his sins.

The world building of this story is set up so that Crochetta is doomed to fail, so she's just trying to go against the current in her own way.
