Like I'm a veteran BL reader so the red flag behaviour doesn't phase me. That being said, I love a good character development and grovelling so I am trying to kind of predict when it's gonna start. But there were PLENTY of opportunities for a gradual build-up for character development. Like you just tweak a few of his thoughts and boom JJK gains compassion????
Although, rereading it, JJK wasn't like abusive or actually a degenerate to his teammates or past partners (he's still an asshole, just not criminal), so why the hell is he THAT AWFUL to Kim Dan? he freaking coerced him, that's criminal!!!!. It doesn't make sense for me. why make him THAT irredeemable and not make this horror or something?
I remember a criticism that some ppl had for BJ Alex was that the build up for Jiwon's feelings wasn't enough and he needed to grovel and pine more. Maybe that's what the author is trying to do? like some sort of slow burn???? It's not great though coz it's so slow that it's in the same place. I wish this was weekly so it can pick up the pace.
I hope Kim Dan doesn't fall for him when JJK is taking care of him coz at this point JJK needs to use his words over his actions if he grovels. and when AFTER JJK redeems himself, a romance arc can start (this shit is gonna be min 200 chaps I swear). and please for the love of god, stop having sex ヽ(`Д´)ﾉ I fear I need more plot.
