The soundtrack is the only thing saving that movie. The storyline was all over the place and was executed so badly that the plot holes can be spotted 10 minutes into the movie. The amount of plot holes dragged the story down from what it could’ve been. It had so much potential and their songs achieved that instead of the actual story. Because majority of American men hate women. Especially if that woman is black. If there’s a chance to be racist they’ll find it and if there’s an opportunity to undermine women and their experiences leading to misogyny, they’ll find it.
