Rereading for the third time but I could never not cry. My heart always aches for Lyle in the beginning chapters when he's battling his insecurities his first love, the doubts that comes with it, his inability to properly express himself and saying things he doesn't mean. It's all natural and human. I always felt like stupid ash led him on unknowingly, creating a potent mix of emotions in innocent lyle's heart. Sure, he hasn't been in a relationship but holy crap, ash never failed to act like his boyfriend so he must've been so confused. I'm happy it all worked out in the end, one of my favourite couple ever.
