I was expecting light hearted romance between three consenting adults, but what I got was back to back overdoses of stalking, dubious consent, and coercion. Yikes. Don’t get me wrong, I have read works with those flags, but I was ready for it and was not invested in the well being of the naive uke that already has a complicated family dynamic with a bitch of a stepmother, a dismissive father and living away from his grandmother that was the actual parental figure in his life.
I’m such a sucker for mutual pining. Though, I kinda root for FL more. She’s so brave to actually make the first step towards something unknown, it makes me want to see her succeed. Also, the ‘setsunai’ feeling throughout the manga was kind of addictive.
What’s worse than a regular stalker? A stalker that has money, connections, and influence. It’s so sad that to not risk stagnation, artists always, often unknowingly, seek the thrill of something that makes life seem so dynamic, so interesting to experience. Anything is better than the dull feeling of boredom.
You talk about fucking manners when you’re an uncouth beast desiring women only if they’re unmarred and pure?? I spit on you, bitch!!!
