"rookie" is really just used for people who are new to something with little to no experience. It doesn't entail young, but I get the confusion oml

I love this manga. I think it's great but if having a female character is really going to cause you so much issue then it's definitely not the manga for you. Most manga has female characters so maybe you should just consider reading something else completely ^^

Yeah , in a way I agree and disagree with you. I don't hate females characters and if you refuse to see helmut's journey bc of females, then that's on you. His sister, which is strongly hinted that she is his sister, is going to be in the plot.

The reason why I sort of agreed with you was bc when I saw alea, I saw them have a brother bonding moment. His family got forced to abandon him so I thought his relationship with alea can be a brother or bestie thing, like naruto and Sasuke, deku and kacchan, Luffy and zoro, etc. But now that's she's a girl, it becomes potential partner. Two reasons to why I don't like this. Alea has to hide her identity as a female. Helmut has to develop feelings for alea for this ship to work, so will her identity be revealed? If so when? Bc the pacing can be off and that will ruin it for me. And in some manga/manhwas where the girls disguise themselves as males, the ml, for some reason, falls in love with them. My question to that is how do they fall in love with someone , who just happened to be their partner in the future, when that's how the ml treats all of their male friends? The ml will treat the girl and along all of the male as friends and brothers. What did this specific person do to make him fall for her? In my eyes, it's nothing and it only happened bc she's the female lead. Then he finds out that she's a girl in less then half of the manhwa/manga that she's a girl is and is relieved that it's a girl. Not all manhwa/Mangas that follows this route does that explanation well and rare for me to see that I'm fine with this type of story plot. But if the author goes this route then oh well. My second reason to why I don't like it bc I fucking hate alea's personality. I'm sorry to all of the ppl who are okay with her, but I cannot stand her. Even when she disguised herself as a dude, I couldnt. I despise most tsunderes and to top it all off, cocky and act as if she's on higher ground than everyone. She can't seems to form bonds as friends or even acquaintances with anyone. The people around her had to accept her attitude. Helmut is just whatever and she got lucky for that. I thought that when alea become bestie with Helmut, perhaps this would help or teach alea on being able to form relationships as friends/close brothers. This also teaches Helmut more too. How is it that Helmut is able to form these relationship when he been in the forest most his life and alea couldn't? Sure, there's something in her past that didn't reveal that but she will have to open up eventually in the future base on spoilers. I can deal with a friend and brother relationship. But now that she becomes a potential partner, mannnnn I not happy. Why would I want my lovely Helmut to be in a relationship with a chick who act one thing and do another, be cocky asf, fails to form relationships with anyone, etc. To top it off, a tsudere. I can't stand them bc their action says one thing, but their internal feelings says another. Then they get jealous or sad or mad when they verbally said something else. So yes, I half agree with u.

Going with my previous comment, I'm also chill with them being friends regardless about sexes. Being friends with diverse ppl is a good thing. The thing is, I bet alea becomes a potential partner. Which leads to my second reason.and I bet that she is his most likely potential partner.

Yesss omgg I can't believe someone out there understood me. The reason why I suddenly lost my excitement reading it was mainly because of the thought that she will become Helmut's love interest. I don't dislike romance but when I am reading shounen manhwa, I prefer when there's no annoying female charas or romance at all!! Just like how I can't continue watching Natuto because of Sakura, she's annoying me too much.

Anyway, thank you so much for sharing your thoughts with me. I was honestly expecting negative replies because of my thoughts about this manhwa, I'm so thankful you tried to understand my stand on this.

YAY I found someone who agrees with me too! Like idc about females and females buddies etc. What I do care is personality. Even I have a hard time with characters who are friends with tsuderes, but I will bc they just friends. Partners are different.

I was not happy when I felt Naruto was gonna get shipped off to Sakura. She is so damn annoying. Idk what made the author last minute change naruto's ship to hinata but thank goodness for that.

Why? Only reason I can see why they are “annoying” is because of disgusting male authors with strange fetishes, that write female characters in such a weird way…

But this manwha doesn’t have that, so unless you, as the previous comment has mentioned are “misogynistic” or gay and only wish to lay your gaze at men, then this manhwa should be no problem at all.
