While it's only two chapters long the plot is beautiful. A Yankee's first love at 14 and he screwed it up by hitting them once. He developed a mindset that for any relationship he gets in afterward he vows to protect his lover from all harm. Even with that, nothing seems to go his way. Then one day he runs into a bartender on the street and gets offered a part time job.... strangely enough he notices that every day he seems to enjoy it and and feel happy.
