i love the story, specially how smart and brave the mc is. however, stories that involve priests or the church always hit harder because they show how blind faith can be used to manipulate people. it’s frustrating to see characters justify awful things “because God said so,” and what makes it worse is that it actually happens in real life too. that’s probably why it feels so infuriatig, it’s not just fiction, it reflects reality.
im just glad there are at least some comedic chapters in this, or I might’ve died from all the accumulated stress every chapter gives me.
some people were commenting that they don’t like the crown prince, and honestly, I kind of feel the same way sometimes. but my speculation is that he’s just acting stupid tho i think he's actually kind of an airhead. i also think the prophecy the first prince received involves the mc, which is why they want her dead. i don’t know, but the romance part was a little boring, though I still like them both
i enjoyed the first few chapters, but as the story continues, it's started to bore the fuck out of me. the supposed ml (grey-haired, violet eyes) doesn’t really share much chemistry with the fl to begin with. and I don’t want to criticize the fl too harshly, and I know she’s kind but that’s about it. she kind of feels like an airhead. will she even improve? i wonder if the writing will develop her more, because right now, i’m not seeing enough growth or depth
