It can feel intimidating if someone likes you way more than you like them, even in platonic relationships. I say this as a woman who has scared people off by being too affectionate and clingy. Another possibility is that they have so low self-esteem that they, sadly, find it creepy that someone would like them that much. I say this from experience ......   reply

To answer your question simply, yes, you are going for the wrong guys. Like multiple levels of wrongness.
