Actually really good, the first two chapters made me wary, as they seem really rushed and I thought that if the whole story will be like this, it won't be worth it, but it gets a whole lot better immediately afterwards.
The mc is great, he's obviously badass, but he still managed to be unique imo. While he wanted to leave Murim, it was more so out of convenience than any guilt, so the brief moments when he relishes in fighting are exciting. I like that he's sometimes fooled, as it goes perfectly with his character. He's very wise, really intelligent, but he's kind of lazy to plan anything too far ahead. He's so kind with his daughter, I'm glad they aren't pulling any thundered bullshit and just let them have a nice relationship.
I like both the old men, they're great, they're cute and they're cool. I think they both should be a bit more responsible for their sects, but then there'd be no story haha.
Samtae is god. Samtae is peak. His progress is soooooooo satisfying. I think it's impossible to make such a satisfying protagonist, as improvement is obvious there, but with this punching bag side character it's peak. He's so funny, but he's also really cute with Sumi. Give him back his hair though pls.
Namgoon girl.... even ignoring her typical design an personality, she suffers from "female side character in an action manhwa" syndrome. It shows itself when a female character is supposed to be strong, is said to be strong, is admired by others for their strength, yet loses every fucking fight. The last time she won, it was in her introduction against a group of weak bandits. Can't we just.....can't we just give her one win???? I know her grandpa said she's incompatible with Samtae so that's why he won, but so far she's incompatible with everyone?????
