Someone help. I have a cat.. 1.5 years old. Male neutered.
I brought another kitten. Now they are hissing at each other and the kitten is trynna scratch the cat. What do i do? I kept them separate but thats not a permanent solution.
cats need time to get used to eo. keep them separated for now. u can look up tips on how to slowly reintroduce them to each other. u need to make them get used to each other's smell first, then hearing/seeing each other through a barrier/net maybe, and so on. there's lots on it online !
Keep water spray bottle with you and whenever they misbehave spray on them.
Had the same situation before. We had our first cat, then when we adopted a new one, our first cat was hissing at the 2nd one. What we did was we still put them in the same cage but with a barrier, and they both use the same litter box (we alternately let them use it, not at the same time). Maybe it took a week or a little more before our first cat accepted the 2nd one. Btw, they’re both female and are around the same age.
I would be a lot happier if i were as delusional as jigu
