I like the characters and art but this book is all plot set up and no conclusion

My boyfriend caught me laughing like a idiot at my phone. I near lost it at the cat with human eyes. Loving every page!
She knew him as a little girl and she could have passed the story of the river god uncle onto her descendants too. He really didn’t live very long as a god. Just a normal life span(the same as his sister). I feel like he could have lived a bit longer as a god. I’m glad he was able to retain his memories and get his happy ending though.
