the art is everything, the plot is everything, who he ended up with is my favourite thing ever, the fact that through the timeskip they had problems but still were able to work it out, the angst! ugh everything about hate mate is perfect to me. it had its really sad and hitting moments to really funny and enjoyable moments. its so underrated imo
