Okay so I read this up to chapter 7 and I’m getting the vibe the first chapters were out of order because the explanation is after whatever basketball game is happening. But the story itself isn’t horrible I just get the vibe this is like subtlety racist because they literally made the black man’s lips purple and keep mentioning him as the “black kid” instead of just calling him a kid.
