To start off, don’t use this comment to determine if you read it or not. Because it’s an entirely indecisive opinion and 95% of it is me rambling lol
To be honest I’m not really sure how I feel about it. Cause a lot of the aspects were interesting: the plot, the characters as individuals, the in depth detail about their jobs.
But in a lot of ways it felt forced and rushed but I don’t really know why it’s giving me that feeling. And it felt like most of the romantic arc was them fighting about their insecurities then not telling each other anything cause of they were constantly walking on egg shells around each other. (Not healthy at all trust me, ruins relationships in general really fast, no matter who is doing it, even worse when it’s both of you) then isn’t really addressed until really late into their relationship and not really solved. Like the other fights they have it ends with both of them just apologizing profusely and begging each other not to breakup.
It’s strange cause I really love the characters but it’s like something is off or missing. It’s not so strange anymore for me when they don’t talk about the characters family. But it honestly felt needed in this story. Atleast for Mr. Woo, cause (as fucking Soohan said it a million fucking times) Soohan is ordinary. So I’m assuming his life was “ordinary” including his family.
God that really pissed me off but I also can relate on a very real level with him.
I’m not entirely sure about this story, I think reading this came at a bad time for me because of how much I relate to the mc currently. A lot of his inner dialogue hit too close to home.
I’ll try reading it again when im in a better headspace. I hope this doesn’t detour anyone who wants to read it.
