Guys if you like this concept (aka person goes back to past and redoes their life, trying to fix their mistakes and using memories of past life while also dealing with changes/butterfly effect from the new choices they make) AND you like fantasy stories, you should really check out the novel reverend insanity/gu master!!! It’s SO good although a hell of a lot longer and more complex, but what it loses in its lack of handsome idol + touching moment charm, it makes up for with much deeper plots from the MC and a lot more “realistic” failures. In this manhwa (so far it seems) the author limited themselves by making the wish requirements absolute - meaning everything is pretty much guaranteed to go according to plan, and baek hyun doesn’t have to try too hard for the wishes to be fulfilled smoothly. It’s still an interesting plot, but missing that sense of suspense, and we don’t really get to see baek hyun improvise in a situation where his plans have completely failed. I also think that the conflicts are pretty cut and dry, like he suddenly gets an alert, deals with the problem, and moves on, rather than anticipating issues or dealing with ongoing situations (eg found out orphanage lady had lung cancer, took her to the hospital and it’s like boom good thing we caught it early no more issues). Although I really like that his feelings about his regression and about his past life’s decisions still affect him. So far the fact that he is the same person trying to move forward while dealing with both obvious and subtle changes in perspective from his new circumstance is really well-conveyed imo. Anyway read reverend insanity if you’re interested in a more ruthless and disadvantaged MC with much more extensive plans and methods. Another thing that is quite similar is that the MC of reverend insanity frequently uses his excellent acting skills acquired over his previous life to turn situations around and gain unexpected advantages. Really highly recommend if you’re drawn to this kind of plot.

I normally hate miscommunication/lack of communication conflicts but this one actually makes sense at least on woowons end, like okay I guess his dad would be hard to talk about so it makes sense he would hide it. Why the hell seo an wouldn’t tell him about moving overseas in a year I don’t understand though. Like he could have refused just as easily when everything is organized? It just doesn’t make sense. Like before he was thinking that woowon would be fine with it so why does he tell him he thought he wouldn’t get the answer he wanted??
